It is said that books will never disappear and the same could be said for all the grimoires lost in the dust of time.
A book is an artefact. A commodity. A pleasure.
Some say knowledge.
A grimoire was the original hand written book used by magicians. One can buy books online. We use Amazon.com and when I can't find the one I really want I go for AltaVista and if by a stroke of bad luck I can't find it there, I then hurtle along to my favourite bookshop.
I need books. I read them, swallow them and digest them. I often repeat that exercise many times over. I use the web a lot. It's similar, but different.
A book can be interactive too, depending on which angle you're looking at. It's peaceful. It's a sanctuary. It's loosing one's mind (has to be a good book.) I've read a few that made me sweat for all the poor trees that have been chopped down in the process. It's rare, though. NP
