117. Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
|
Are we obsessed by this word? Everyone seems so desperate to get rich, and right now. Is it merely an act of extreme desperation or the dire extent of our achievement?
There are myriad of sites promising you the world, just as long as you have a credit card. An overwhelming amount of game shows will ensure your entrance to Midas's Kingdom. One can also follow the trend and become a .com millionaire. Going on the stock market could be a rough piste to follow. Losing nearly a third of its value with LastMinute.com is not the advisable path to venture into.
It is important to remember that over 80% of existing Internet firms will dissolve within the next year without making a single penny in profit. A lot of people will lose money in the process, but some will be agile enough to make a quick get-away in the nick of time with most of the proceeds. They will be the real millionaires. There is no real recipe. Game shows, .com, the lottery or simply that bright idea that will change the world? NP
