138. Redefine the Meaning of the Web? (Part 2)

The "this is me and my picture" syndrome floating in cyberspace for years on end is sadly still the norm adopted by a lot of media companies.
Remember that in the last two years the web has taken 40% of the share audience from traditional media, TV and newspapers included.
The Y2K Showcase is, modesty set aside, the living proof.  Although we're also targeting the non-virtual media for marketing and hold showcases for a back up, the bulk of our effort has been concentrated on the web.
Even with our average of 24000 hits a week, we haven't reached global status just yet.  But it's significant.  We will improve this score during the summer when everyone is supposedly sunbathing.

During the whole summer, starting in June we will dive in water, discover the marine life, broadcast live underwater footage, mountain surf and all the things allegedly less Arty.  Our web marketing will increase, but our non-virtual marketing will decrease.

This is the nature of virtual reality.
