125. Chess (Part 1)

Chess is a game played on a square board of 64 black and white chequer squares with 32 pieces of different values.  16 men each (apparently, but there is a Queen as well)  "Checkmate" signals the winner of a game.

The game is almost emphatically subliminal and metaphysical.  For instance, a knight (horse) can only move within a definite pattern (L) clearly outlining a marine's cross or a celestial chart.  It's almost as if somehow, there was a hidden number skulking behind each shape.  As if a chess game and everything in it was a gigantic map to follow.
It's your move...

An intrinsic map of the universe. NP
