Y2K Diary [ 03.05.00 ]

124. Rocky Horror

We have been so busy putting the new features into the Y2K Showcase, Y2K Forum, Y2K TV, Web live, this and that etc., that we've almost forgot that we have entered into the merry month of May!  And Mayday in all its significance.  Apologies.

In the revival season, I'm forced to review a musical that I tried to forget.  Richard O'Brian's "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."

Scream through the time warp again and
this time, it is not in a grotty West End venue
but The Hackney Empire.  It sounds already
like its groundbreaking heyday of '74.
It's alive and interactive.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Open your umbrella when it rains, stand up when you must, lift your leg up when you can.  The sweet transsexual from Transylvania is back in a sumptuous-edgy presentation.  And remember the old post-punk new-age adage: "Don't dream it, be it! "  You might wish to see the film first or hear the CD, as you'll be requested to perform in due course! JD
