Prudential, the pension company and Vodafone, the mobile phone company have announced a new financial service for mobile phone users.  Using a WAP-enabled technology, any mobile phone can access the services via the UK's only WAP directory. Prudential will act as a consultant for its range of financial services, ranging from pensions, insurance, services and loans. WAP-Wireless Application Protocol.  According to the Financial Times, 90% of new mobile phones will be WAP-enabled by December 2000. Wap is an easy and secure access to relevant Internet/intranet information and other services through mobile phones, pagers, or other wireless devices.
