Y2K Diary [ 20.05.00 ] 141. Y2K Showcase [ may ] The Y2K Showcase: "The Queer, the Ugly and the Beautiful" was fan-t-as-tic. The showcase was a presentation of the web site. Announced for 7pm, a lot came at 8pm and a lot more at 9pm. So, the " Queer " was a reference to the area in Soho, the " Ugly " was the choice of venue, the worst in the west end, and the " Beautiful " was the myth attached to the West End. Equally, the theme was inspired by the world of media. The next showcase is on the 30th of June and will be in Hoxton. An expanded team will organise the show...
