166. Broken Links (Part 1)

I do get a lot of mail.  Emails and snail mails.  I got many complaints about the delay that many users seem to be experiencing in accessing the previous entries of the diary.  Especially those from January.  A lot of them needed to be reshaped and many links needed to be readjusted.

We had many broken links.  Yahoo was a great provider of broken links, straight after Reuters the news agency.  I only half blame them.  News is news and they need to be replaced.  They could provide a notice and a redirection to an archive page.

Some news is still news in the days and the years to come.  Some news is being visited over and over again.  That's what the web is all about.  An infinite virtual library.  So infinite that we seem to loose our links.  Loose our connections.  Tut tut tut.  I'm still not impressed.

Continues tomorrow...NP
