127. The Element of Style

"Alea, jacta, est".  Never overload a text with pretentious jargon, that no one, certainly not the author will even remotely comprehend.  "I, I, I", "overly", "so meaningful".  Web pages are full of 'them'.

"Under Construction" syndrome seems to be popular.
Defined as ugly in our current showcase, it is sometimes unavoidable.  Though, when it is there for weeks on end and advertised at the end of an article in a daily newspaper, it becomes a GAG.  A gag could be a statement, as long as we are aware of this.  Achieving style in grace of attitude will certainly not pop up like a jack in a box.
It comes by acknowledging one's self, in one's own beauty, one's ugliness and one's queerness.
I'm certainly still after it.  I'm "Under Construction".

"The Element of Style" is also a cult book in writing by Strunk and White published by Allyn and Bacon.

".sell your virginity for nothing.com" is also very popular.
The infamous "dot" so dear to Absolut Vodka in the Eighties, became a de facto component of life in the nineties with ".com" and another definite must before anything in the Y2K years.
Not to mention stuck in the middle "easy.everything.com" NP
