63. Communication (Part 1)

Never travel without it. But when commuting in London is a legal inferno, I really start wondering about how easy it is for anyone to get away with anything. London's public transport can be hell at most hours.
Take the tube profits ridden to the core of their expensive advertising display on the walls to the back of the tickets for instance. When tremendous delays, crushes and overcrowding defines the tube system they are still adamant: you are contemplating the 8th wonder of the world.
They hit the jackpot when they've introduced an on the spot £10 penalty to anyone travelling without a valid ticket on arrival. It happened to me. An underground gush of wind swallowed it. I thought I would have been saved thanks to my credit card receipt. How wrong I was.
I wrote a note to complain about this misfortune and sent it by recorded post. We're talking six months ago! I'm still waiting for a refund despite several phone calls. JD
